ON THE SUPERBEING SONAR…
Currently in our bedside table book stacks: Peter Attia’s Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity, Deepak Chopra’s Quantum Body, and Dr. Gerald Pollack’s The Fourth Phase of Water: Beyond Solid, Liquid, and Vapor.
We’re also (re)watching The 1 Field, a film that took over a decade to create, directed by Israeli filmmaker Tsipi Raz. It examines the existence of an energetic field that connects everything and explores whether spirit can be measured. Interwoven throughout the film are stories from leading researchers and scientists worldwide – all of who have spent decades studying different aspects of the existence of this energy field.
Anyone else thinking about sunscreen and wondering if it's actually worse for you when it comes to skin cancer? Us too. Check out Against Sunscreen Absolutism in the Atlantic and also this Ask Me Anything issue with Peter Attia, where he explores the complex relationship between skin cancer (particularly melanoma) and UV exposure. He also discusses the various skin types, how sunscreen affects UV radiation and skin cancer risk, and how to select the best sunscreen for your needs.
